The National Federation of the Blind is pleased to announce its 2021 scholarship program!

You are receiving this email because you have previously applied for a scholarship from the National Federation of the Blind. On behalf of the scholarship committee, I want to thank you for your previous application, and encourage you to apply again this year. Our scholarship program is the largest of its kind in the United States—we give away thirty scholarships annually in amounts ranging from $3,000 to $12,000. As you can imagine, we receive hundreds of applications each year, with the result being that most applicants apply more than once before becoming scholarship winners.

Each scholarship also comes with financial assistance to attend the national convention of the NFB, to be held in July 2021 in New Orleans, LA, as well as additional awards and prizes. In recent years, these have included a Chromebook and an additional $1,000 check from Google, as well as a plaque and a further $1,000 from Dr. Ray Kurzweil and the Kurzweil Foundation.

Remember, you can’t win if you don’t apply! Please visit us online at scholarships.nfb.org to begin the online application. The deadline is March 31, 2021, but don’t wait! Begin your application today!

Sincerely,

Cayte Mendez, Chairperson
