Cape Freels and area weekend

coast. spent 10 hrs on saturday (aug 27) birding the bogs, flats, and
sandy beach at cape freels. spent 5 hrs birding the sandy beaches at
windmill bight provincial park and deadman's bay provincial park (3 km
of white, sandy beach!) on sunday (aug 28). lots of geese, black
ducks, semipalmated plovers, yellowlegs, and whimbrels (none of
european race). streams of gannets offshore. highlight was a pectoral
sandpiper at cape freels. full lists below:
