The recent rain has widened the open water a bit and viewing of common mergansers at the
west end was very up close. Also we had great views of the peregrine falcon in the trees
near the bandstand for most of the afternoon. It is perching in different trees than previous
sightings but still in the same grove. No yellow legged gull but the lesser black backed gull
was on the ice at the west end all afternoon.
