I say no. 25 goals at best, and another terrible plus/minus. Might cost Chiarelli his job.

 

Will Theodore get the Capitals into the Conference Finals?

All he has to do is let in fewer goals than Ovechkin scores. Kinda like the old Grant Fuhr.

 

Will the Habs be this good again? Will the Leafs be this bad?

No on both ends, but the Habs will make the playoffs and the Leafs won't.

 

Will Bertuzzi recapture old glory in Calgary?

He has paid the price for the Moore hit, but all that aside, he's done like dinner. Washed up and overpaid. Hello KHL by February when Sutter buys him out.

 

Will Sundin come back, and where?

I say Denver, for a farewell tour with old Nordique buddies Sakic, Foote and Forsberg.

 

Teams on the way up? East: Tampa. West: Chicago

On the way down? East: NY Rangers. West: Minnesota

I'd love to see Ryder not only rebound in Boston but to see him have a  great playing year against Montreal.

 

Theo is the type of goalie who tends to play only as good as his team mates.  He's not going to stand on his head for anyone if they're not pulling their own weight.  Having said that, playing behind Ovechkin might be just what he needs.

 

The Habs success will depend on Corey Price.  I just hope the habs don't burn him out like the leafs did to Potvin.  Toronto on the other hand should take this opportunity to start and rebuild the team with some younger players, however, they'll probably end up with some high priced veterns who are at the end of their life expectancy.

 

I don't think Bertuzzi had paid for his him on Moore but he did do Moore a favour.  He'll be forever known as the "Guy that Bertuzzi hit." 

 

I wouldn't be surprised to see Sundin join the KHL.

i have thought about that as well and since sundin will not be around

expectations are not to be realized again and the price will prove to
be yet again the next steve penny

the leafs.....unfortunately it would be reaching to see them make the
playoffs but we will see

You have your opinions on Bert and I have mine. I don't condone his actions,
but I know it's your opinion vs mine (which is OK).

And I'm not kidding on Jose Theodore. Say what you will, he's hung around
longer than Jim Carrey. In fact, he's played in more playoff games than
Roberto Luongo, AFTER leaving Montreal. And Theo doesn't "bulk up" with the
big gear that Luongo, Turco, Giguere and others do. I think Colorado is far
worse with Budaj-Weiman than they would have been with Theodore-Budaj.

Kaberle was one of the few who came to mind for me, although they might go
with one of the newer additions just so the leader isn't part of the culture
of losing that's been there for so long.

Mike Ryder is a good kid with no defensive sense. When the team's focus
switched to a more defensive minded approach in the absence of Souray you
saw quickly what happened A) to the team's standings, and B) to Ryder's
production. It'll depend on the approach taken in Boston. He's responded
well to Claude Julien's coaching before, so if the Bruins play a run-and-gun
game, he might post some good numbers.

The right sports psychologist for Theodore might make a world of difference
in the Eastern race. Unless Ovechkin gets injured, then that team doesn't
have a prayer.

Agreed. No place for him in the game - it's too bad that declining skills
instead of the NHL taking a real stand is what will put him out.

Is Forsberg actually playing this year? I've read rumours about both of them
showing up as a Trade-Deadline 1-2 addition in Colorado, but my best guest
is he's going to be added to either Pittsburgh or Ottawa at the deadline -
he wants to win, and I'm picking those two teams to come out of the east
again.

we call it as we see it , and when you show up wishing a life
threatening disease on a player and laughing about it, then you are
going to be called on it...you , I , or anyone else for that
matter........like i said here a million times...it is a great place
for banter, baiting and general respect for others but some folks just
bring out the worst in themselves and others...and unfortunately you
are one of them......

here's to hoping that this year is a fresh start.......... time
will tell
