it may be a longer season than i thought, but they need to learn to
stay outta the box for sure......but on a great note...they didnt give
up, they still played hard to the end.

there is a long road ahead and there are no pressures or
expectations on them so they should evolve nicely as long as they give
the effort...it is better to see hunger and effort than the lazy
loafers of the past two years....

kudos to the habs tonite.....

You plan on hybernating or something? After last nights preformance and the
way the habs have been trading their number one goalies, by the time the
playoffs roll around, price might be not even be a hab.

Darryl,

What do you think of the new Leaf's coach and his idea that the captain of
the team should know the history of the team?

cross posting ended.....

I think it's an excellent idea. The leafs are a storied franchise, and
the logo is more important than the name on the back. wilson is going to
attempt to instill some pride in the organization...although i doubt
management will allow it with their incompetence

Last night prior to the start of the game Ron Wilson was interviewed while
standing in the Leafs dressing room. The camera zoomed in on some of the
old photographs from the 50's and 60's and Ron was saying how the younger
leafs didn't know the names of the guys in the pictures. During the
interview there was talks of picking a captain for the team. Ron something
about having several players who were good enough to be captain. The
problem is that they didn't know the history of the team and couldn't
identify the plays in the pictures. He basically said, if you want to be
captain you better know who these people in the pictures are.
