GILLETTE FORCED TO SELL THE HABS!!!!

gillette is being forces to sell the habs in order to pay for the team
in the first place/.....

some in here will remember me stating that he actually got the team
for no money on a differed payment agreement in the first
place.......seems that the owner is losing his shirt in operating the
team and has not been able to make enough profit to pay the team cost
down at all..

how is this possible you ask.....according to sportsnet...he has been
using all monies to pay past debts off!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, Gillette and Hicks have been trying/rumored to be selling
Liverpool for about a year now. It's since cooled off, but that doesn't
mean it won't happen.

In my opinion, Gillette would sell his stake in Liverpool before
dropping the habs if he needed money right now. Now, with that said,
he'd make more money selling his stake in Liverpool to Hicks then he
would selling the Habs and he'd make even MORE money if both he and
Hicks sell out to a Saudi consortium of investors looking to buy a big
name prem club, such as the case was last year when it almost happened.

yup check le press from yesterday , i dont have the link but it was
reported on sportsnet as early as one minute before i posted
this...there is a talk show, i am not sure whatthe name of it is as i
am not a regular veiwer but with my fta i have lost tsn so i am stuck
with rogers....

is no talks of the sale bothe ballsilly and the gillette family have
denied to at this point...

yupper stil the most finanacially successful franchise inthe
league...but give the devil its do....whenthe habs are winning they
make money...but the fans are so fickle they do not support the team
when they are losing....the leafs situation is totally diff but for a
diff reason...the seats are always full and the merchandising is so
profitable becsue the fans dont leave the team but also the team is a
marketing miracle...to is the place for the hub of business activity
in canada and the touristy thing to do is take in the leafs
games....it will forever be successful for that reason if nothing
else.....

revenues is from merchandising.....i dont see why you are sooking
