Software Test Engineer
* Rapidly learn our software and immediately contribute to the test team. * Perform acceptance testing of each deployment * Perform functional, integration, and regression tests of software * Create test plan, test cases, and test reports * Create and execute manual/automated test suites to ensure complete test coverage of software * Assess the quality of software builds through exploratory testing * Work with software teams to characterize product issues and develop solutions * Clearly document and communicate issues found during testing to facilitate corrective actions by developers and/or designers * Submit defects into defect tracking system including the details of the problem and steps for recreating * Understand subsystem level requirements and participate in development/design discussions making recommendations to improve verification activities
* 3+ years of software testing experience * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science * Work experience in software testing/QA * Computer programming/scripting experience * Knowledge of relational databases and database applications (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server) * Experience in SQL and T-SQL script language * Experience with Windows operating systems * Proficient in MS Office products * Knowledge of software design and software testing methodology * Exploratory testing experience * High energy level, strong initiative, ability to work independently * A problem solver that's analytical and inquisitive * Quick learner and desire to find software issues * Strong attention to details, completeness, and quality * Strong communication and team working skills
