I love Spicy food.
Like, with an abandon that most who know me swear I will get an ulcer from
it. My most memorable experience to date was a restaurant manager laughing
at me after one episode warning me that I should probably never again "taunt
a Sri Lankan chef". You get the idea.
So I'm wondering if anyone has any great undiscovered hot sauces they'd like
to share that actually have some flavour rather than just tasting like hot
vinegar, or if anyone's got some good recipes they'd like to share.

Thanks in advance, I'll go by stock in Tums right now while I wait. :)

Sweet Chili Sauce. Its awesome. They use it at Mustang Sallys, thats the
first time I had it. Now I put it on everything. I was never really a fan
of hot sauces. I used too buy it at the Asian stores, but sobeys carries it
under their brand which is a hell of a lot cheaper then the imported stuff.
I can guarantee you wont be disappointed.

I've got a coupla bottles of "Spontaneous Combustion". That was a good
trade off for both flavour and heat. I don't know anything about these
soville units, but I've burned up a good few hot sauce afficianados with
just the right uses of black and white pepper stewed and blended with some
other stuff. You won't find too many people too free with what they put
into their hot sauces, but if you concentrate on these cap peppers and other
exotics, you're just leaving flavour behind. I'm a big fan of the little
Jamacan Jerk Shops which seem to be everywhere but here. Hot food, salt
fish and king fish is a nice little taste of home when you're away.
