What a friggen show!!!!
Yes man it was freakin deadly.... He did a nice job flippin out on
that guy too... What a laugh.. Cheap beer was a plus too
Then during the encore, some douchebag fires a bottle of water at Josh, the
band is known for stopping mid show if something pisses them off. I was
glad they played at least SOME of "No-one knows" before walking off.
What a rock-star exit though.. lol. Drop the guitar and walk off stage
mid-song.

It was a great show.
I am a big QOTSA fan, and have been for a long time. I have all the
albums and listen to them regularly. I'm a bit a more on the calm
side of the concert going scene and as such, I stayed off the floor
and sat in the stands. I thought that it was the worst sound job I
have EVER had the displeasure to sitting through. Maybe it was better
on the floor but sitting in the seats just next to the main bar, it
was awful. For such riff heavy music, that I love, I couldn't make
out any of it. Echoes would then frequently make the percussion seem
totally out of phase with the guitars. I bent over backwards to get
there and was disappointed with the sound. I should have went on the
floor as I know it would have been better there. Oh well.
It didn't ruin it for me entirely. I still thought it was a great
show and they had a great stage presence. Thanks to the jewels who
ended a great show with the water bottle. They usually play a decent
3-4 song encore but someone made sure that didn't happen. As
mentioned, they are known for walking off or lambasting the crowd when
peppered with objects so why people insist on doing it is beyond me.
Anyways, off to listen to Over the Years and Through the Woods.
LOL, good they are shite anyways
Did they play only one night? Usually the second show is always better
(soundwise). You can do all the sound checks you like in an empty
venue. Fill that arena with body mass and the sound check is out the
window. That being said a good soundman can make the adjustment by the
second or third song (or at least by the time the warm up band is
done).
