Ok, my aunt brought me over some pictures and iron on transfer paper so that
she could transfer those pictures onto a quilt that she is doing....it's
sort of a family history quilt for a newborn living away. anywho, i have a
Epson 480SXU and can't seem to find anything that resembles this paper for
the proper settings when printing. Anyone else out there have the same kind
of printer that has done this before or can someone give me the closest
paper settings for this paper.

the paper is Staples brand Iron-on transfer paper, 8.5x11" for inkjet
printers. that's all it says on the package.

this paper isn't cheap to buy for how many sheets you get in a package, so i
don't want to screw up a few sheets trying to figure out which setting to
put the printer on.

thanks.

I have a HP Photosmart printer and there is an iron on transfer setting in
"Printing Preferences".

i don't believe ANY inkjet printer can be used. you should check the maximum
media thickness for your printer. some can't handle thick stock/iron ons.

i did try it but a little piece of the paper got caught in the printer and
ripped a tiny tiny hole in the paper, everything else turned out fine.
maybe i should just make the thickness a bit bigger. i did look in the
printing preferences box, but never seen anything for iron-ons....there is a
hell of a lot of other stuff there but that. just wondering if anything
else is the same as transfer paper settings.

I used to do it all the time using photo quality option from my printer. It
was an Epson and it turned out great.
