Their forecast for Monday is scattered showers with sun. Winds 60kph.
Yet their storm watch says another story. Is it that they just don't
give a rat's ass about NL's weather??

It's because all forecasts from The Weather Network are automated and
come directly from computer model output. The only forecasts their
meteorologists look at and edit would be for the big cities.

The Weather Network is great in two ways: 1) If I don't want to open my curtains or go outside, I can tell, with reasonable accuracy, what the current temperature is or if there is precipitation. 2) It is very reliable. If it says there will be 25 - 30 cm of snow in 4 or 5 days, it will decrease its prediction by 5 cm per day until there is little to no snow.

Accuweather.com, on the other hand, is remarkably accurate. It has become
my favorite forecasting site.
