Hold 'em or fold 'em - that's the dilemma facing some bar owners in the
province after being told by police that the card game Texas Hold Em
Poker is against the law. One club owner, Tony Samuelson of Reflections
in Gander, told VOCM BackTalk with Bill Rowe yesterday that he has been
notified by the RCMP to stop running Texas Hold Em card games. Marcel
Etheridge of the Beverage Industry Association is collecting information
on the RCMP advisory to club owners. The industry will have more to say
following a meeting in St.John's on Thursday.
