I don't care who owns NTV. What employer lets so many key personnel take
their vacation at the same time? And could somebody please tell Michael
Connors to get a decent haircut! That looks like my grade 6 picture!
Maybe NTV could hire the CBC crew for some freelance work during their
lockout? Or at the very least, borrow their backdrop so we don't have to
look at the backs of the engineering & programming crew!

Isn't the news set a closet? I hear its pretty tight quarters over there and
they have no room for a nice news desk.
Michael Conners has somewhat relaxed over the past few months since he's
started. He needs a name tag saying "News Anchor in Training" lol
Rayna Taylor is just beginning her career. Cut her some slack.
NTV is a privately owned company and does not recieve gov't money -
unlike the CBC. Set/backdrop changes are a luxury they can't afford.
And last but not least...
...NTV is FREE - deal with it.

I'm sure Geoff Sterling can well afford a new set for this pathetic
little newscast.

I am sure he can also, but why would he purchase something he doesn't have
to? If the regular viewers stopped tuning in, the shear amount of people on
this newsgroup that watch and then bitch about the programming would be well
enough to keep the NTV news afloat.

NTV news is by far much better than the CBC news half hour.
Toni Marie Wiseman is a good news anchor but not right for the weather and
on location. She's too drab for that. Sharon Snow on the other hand brings a
bit of life to the weather and locations. She's an integral part of the NTV
news.
Danielle Butt is far from a backup backup. If you had as good a career as
she does and moved up the line as far as she has, you wouldn't think that.
Diedra Ayre(aka Beep) is only a part time worker to my knowledge and that is
her choice. She does just as good a job as anyone. I'd rather see her on
location than Toni Marie (no offence Toni).
As for Rayna Taylor!! She has a great job, Drive around and meet people.
However, the summer is almost over and she has her foot in the door for a
good job at NTV. Did you know all when you started to work or have you not
made that leap of faith yet in your life.
Anyone that complains about seeing people work at a job that they enjoy,
and complain that they are unable to do a good job should try to do it
better. See if you can get your lazy behind a job there and show them all
what it takes if your so Hot, or are you unable, HMMMM.
Ya, I thought sooo.....

No it's not. They earn their revenue from advertizing. Businesses pay
thousands of dollars for advertising which in turn they pass on to their
customers. So, indirectly you pay, one way or another.
