expose people and sites that contain child porn?The radio has been full of
this lately and I didn't realize that there were that many diaper sniffers
out there.I did not see, nor hear any mention of this on NG and was a little
shocked,since we all, are quick to get involved in politics,sports,weather
or just simple happenings around town .I enjoy the camaraderie between all
that participate here and know that some of us have kids.I'm not saying that
we should do their jobs for them (the police) and sometimes I feel(using a
friends quote) "they wouldn't find their arse, if their hand was in their
back pocket".Having said that, I have no problem of becoming a
vigilante,where children's health and welfare is concerned.There are people
on the NG, that have forgotten more than I know about computers and probably
smarter than the ones in the police force.They are the ones who should lead
the pack and take charge.Someone called me a newbie once,I thought they
spelled newfie wrong and her name lol short for lolly,that's how much I
know.I thought an adobe acrobat writer, was a guy who lived in a clay brick
house,that hung upside down and wrote short stories.Anyways,I think a good
name, if not already taken, would be P.A.C.E (people against child
endangerment)or vote on something else. What are your comments? Do you
feel, we as individuals, should just, let it die and wait for it to fix
itself, or get involved and help the police? The latest count released on
radio, was 250,000 pedophiles world wide.

the e-mail address of the RCMP member here (Halifax) that is charge of the
section looking after such criminal activates and I forward the material on
to him. A suggestion is to get the address of his counterpart in St. John's
and give him any material you can to help nail these very sick people.

Just what are you planning to do besides give people the sites where such
material can be found? I agree that often the police seem not to take the
action that we would like so see but so many times there are circumstances
that we are not aware of that taking these nuts to trail takes time. And how
frustrating it must be for the police when spending hours working on a case
to have someone convicted only to have some judge give the guilty just a
slap on the wrist.
Your comments as the abilities of the police regarding the use of computers
may be valid in some cases but I can assure you that both the officers and
their colleagues that are involved with child porno in this area, (RCMP &
HRM Police) are very confidante in the use of computers and are very
dedicated to their jobs.

who look at that kind of stuff are actual sexual predators

it. Usually, in order to know about you have to see it. If you've seen it,
congradulations, you've just committed a federal crime. Chances are, you will
also become the prime subject of a criminal investigation whether your
intentions were good or not, especially if the website is an official police
site designed to specifically catch people looking for it-- and you visited. So,
your computer will be seized and vigorously searched, the charges against you
will get published, and your life is destroyed just by allegation, rumor mill,
and the chance of your guilt.
Let the authorities handle the federal crimes-- if you go looking for it so you
can report it, you'll get arrested yourself.

me to download wood working plans,i take work home sometimes and my wife
plays backgammon.I won't have to ever worry about having my computer taken
,as i don't look for stuff that sickens me.I just heard on the radio that
the police are looking for help and the computer experts may be the ones who
can seek out these sicko's lay traps etc.The statement that you made is very
valid,the only way is to catch these guys,is to go into the den where they
prey on children,i'm not prepared for that.These days you look up "rocks"
with a search engine and automatically a porn site pops up,so i guess you
can stumble upon something without looking for it.I guess if we were to
remain vigilant like "old trout" than at least were doing something.

actually do? Look for 'diaper sniffers' (what is this?) as you call them
and then hunt them down and expose them for the sickos they are? How do you
hope to accomplish this other then forming a fancy group name? I dislike
