Anyone know what happened to Fred Hutton, NTV news. I heard he quit. Did
anyone else hear that? Where did this guy Glen Carter come from?

You mean the dork with the $6 haircut? That's Michael "don't call me Mike"
Connors.

Glen Carter is a welcome addition to the NTV news. Very professional in both
appearance and delivery. Don't know much (anything) about his background,
but this guy obviously has tremendous TV experience. Wonder how he ever
ended up on NTV?

What NTV needs is someone professional in the graphics/promos
department, I hear they have fantastic equipment up there, but, holy
crap, they need someone who knows how to use it.

Glen Carter, if it is the same one, is from Corner Brook origionally
but spent at least the last 6-7years as the lead Anchor for the
A-Channel here in Calgary. He was the only news cast I could stomach
here but he was let go earlier this spring when A-Channel morphed into
City TV. He is an awesome news caster and you're lucky to have him.

I think that the Glen Carter at NTV sounds very professional. I like his

If you look for a reference to him in this link you will also see the
following:

http://www.ffwdweekly.com/Issues/1997/0911/cover1.html

"No, the man who has that unenviable task is Glen Carter, who has been
a newsman for almost 20 years and holds an impressive list of
credentials that includes print and TV reporting, and time anchoring at
a television station in the nation's capital. Carter, another East
Coaster, is also known inside news circles as the reporter who exposed
the dangers on the Ocean Ranger Oil Rig three days before it sank."

I don't know where he worked at the time but I assme it was some news
agency in Newfoundland?

Try NTV. Glen was a reporter with NTV in the late-1970s. He went from
there to ATV in Halifax and then elsewhere in the country.

Nice to see him back.

I think that the picture is of Glen Carter when he was slightly
younger.

Yes, I do too.

It seems however that, for some people, NTV can do nothing right.

Everybody who's posted here agreed that this fellow was spot-on. Your
problem appears to be with the people rather than what they say or how they

Go to Smith's furniture on Topsail road. Ask for Carter Lee, tell
him Carter Lee sent you.

I've met a Carter Lee at Atlantic Home Furnishings, and he recommended that
I go to Smith's Home Furnishings to find what I was looking for... Same
crowd? Same Carter?

That gentleman recently left Smith's and moved to Atlantic. He
is not me. We do however have the same grandfather from whence
came the name.

Thanks for clearing that up Carter,

No offence suggested, but I did notice the name on the business card he gave
me, and at the time I thought it might have been you.
