If you do, would you mind posting the voltage of the adaptor that
charges it? I misplaced mine and need the voltage on the charger to
get a new one, there's only an adaptor number on the vac itself....
TIA

This is what it says, word for word, on the adapter for my Swiffer Sweep
and Vac:

The Proctor and Gamble Company
1-SG1700-000
Plug-in Class 2 Transformer
Listed
UL Logo 3G72
E149469
Model: JOD-028U-02
Input: AC 120 V 60 Hz 40mA
Output: DC 9v 150mA

Made in China

What you want is in there somewhere...

:)

My adapter broke at the connection to the machine. Would you mind letting
me know where you purchased a replacement? If the cost is too high, it
might be cheaper to buy a new vacuum.

Thanks.

That buy and trade place on the corner of Stamps lane and Freshwater rd, has
a large bin of various adaptors, cheap.

Ours broke at the connection as well. I brought the connector to
Radio Shack (or whatever the place is called now) and bought a
replacement connector. Two in a pkg for a couple of bucks. They have
a couple of different sizes that are very close so it is best to bring
it in. It was a snap to fix. Anone can do it. Saved a whole unch of
$$$$.

You may want to check the polarity on the adapter plug.
Little symbol with the "+" or "-" on the center or ring.

kinda like below ...sorry best I could do... (with ( = ring, * = center)
pos-----(*------- neg

Yup; make sure the pluses and minuses (the negative and positive of
the charging supply) are correctly matched.
If not, instead of charging the remaining voltage of even a partially
discharged battery inside the Swiffer and the voltage of the charging
supply will add together.
Heavy current can then flow and something may burn up or the charger
may be damaged. There may or not be a fuse inside that will blow for
protection; more often than not, no fuse!
This 'correct voltage polarity' precaution can be the case for many
such small charger applications; although some more expensive chargers
do contain additional components to prevent 'reverse' current.
It'd be rather like installing a new battery in your car
'backwards'!!!!
Good luck.

I googled the numbers on an AC adaptor I found and came up with this
thread. This one is a little different though. It is model
JOD-28U-01A, input ac 120v 60Hz 40mA, output: 9V 200mA. It says 3G72
E149469 JODEN. There's a "made in China" and "T2." Does anyone have
any idea what this powers? I just want to be sure I don't throw it
away and come to realize it belongs to something I still own. Oh,
there's also a number stamped on the other side - 3502AA.

Thanks.
