Alice Cooper @ memorial stadium with motorhead 1988 or 89 not sure, but i
remember he pointed his sword at me and my buddys and at the time we thought
it was the coolest thing. The only other concert I saw before that one was
Mr dressup at the arts n culture center LOL so im guessing thats not exactly
rock. I can still hear it now " FREEDOM, raise your fist and
yellllllllllllllllll "

Pink Floyd, Montreal Forum, summer 1973, album released in March of same
year. First half of concert was from their Umma Gumma, Atom Heart Mother
and Meddle albums. The second half was the entire Dark Side of the Moon
album All done in quadraphonic sound. Paid $5.00 to get into the Forum. I
haven't been the same since : )

I'm not sure if I should admit this because I'm probably gonna get
flamed but my first big concert was in Orlando, Florida. Headliner was
"George Micheal" and the opening was the "Bangles". Believe I wore
purple pants and a headband.

God, I'm old -- and boring! I just flashed back to a little town in NB back
in 1969 to a concert featuring a Québec rock group by the name of "Les
Lutins" (The Elves). That was my last "concert" until I took my kids to see
Weird Al Yankovik at the Rebecca Cohn back in 1995.

I think my first stadium rock concert was Bob Dylan with
Tom Petty opening on Aug. 1, 1986 at BC Place Stadium,
though probably slightly earlier I had heard Stevie
Ray Vaughan live at Expo Theatre. Also I was 22 by then
so by then I had heard a few bar shows and TSC shows
and Arts and Culture Centre shows (I don't think the
LSPU was hosting rock concerts then, as they recently
did with Lizband and Bung). Probably the first touring
rock band I heard was a Christian rock band that played
my high school when I was about 15. Also back then
The Peace-A-Chord wasn't on the go, and I didn't go
to Memorial Stadium (I really got into live music more
after I went to Vancouver when I was 21, where I returned
from in late 1995, but even since I have gone mostly to
bar shows and few Mile One shows yet).

Glass Tiger, Thompson Student Centre, not sure the year, probably 87. One of
the best I've seen would have to have been The Jitters at the TSC in 88 or
89, there was a wicked snow storm that night and there were hardly anyone
there, but they rocked the place.

the year (possibly 91)

The best is a toss up between "Pink Floyd" or "Van Halen" at B.C. Place
Stadium.

Funny, if I had to say the best I'd have to say either Live at Mile One the
first year it opened (tickets in the third row and the show rocked) or Bon
Jovi in Grand Falls.

I think mine was Chris DeBurgh, around 1982, at Memorial Stadium;

Rob, I, too was at that Jitters concert. Was working at a local record
store when the band came to do an "in-store" and besides the thirty people
they let me put on the guestlist, you were probably the only other person
there:but what a great show!!

One of the best local shows I ever saw was The Jeff Healey Band, Memorial
Stadium, just after Stevie Ray Vaughn died (1991?). What a great time! Went
backstage after the show, met the band and talked to Jeff for about a half
hour about Stevie Ray and what a great influence he was on Jeff's career.

And then there wer all those April Wine concerts...did Streetheart ALWAYS
open for them??.......
