Taking wife and 2 children to the area a few days. I wondered if
Splash n Putt is worth the $140.00. Children are 9 and 11. Anyone
stay at Blue Water Cabins in Traytown?
Thanks

What does the $140 get you?

I understand the $140.00 is for a family day pass. 2 bumper boats,
2 go carts ect each. My wife dos'ent even swim!

Although it's been a couple of years since I was there, it is
defnitely not worth $140. The last time we visited, I swore I we would
never return. The cabins were in sad shape, a few of the "attractions"
at the park were not available and there was a limit to the number of
times you could actually go on the water slide. To put it in
perspective, we visited Canada's Wonderland last year and 3 season
passes (2 adults and 1 child) cost less than $250 total.

Too bad there are no great facilities for families in the province. I
know we have fantastic outdoor activities that I certainly take
advantage of, but sometimes finding stuff to do with the kids on a
Sunday afternoon is a bit of a challenge.

No it is not worth 140. I too am going there and if you go to Terra Nova
Park, Family Fun, Sandy Cove, etc, you will find loads of stuff to to
instead of being burdened with the 140 cost to go in the water.

As for Bluewater...........if memory serves me correctly from a similar post
last year, a guy Randell(or something like that) who is apparently from that
area stated DO NOT stay at Bluewater cabins. I stand to be corrected on
that.

I was there 8 years ago with my wife and child and we had a better time at
the beach in Eastport 20 min away. Or go to the public pond area in Terra
Nova (Sunshine Pond I think is the name, about halfway through the park).
You're blowing $140 bucks on nothing!!! Just my opinion though.

Ledrews cabins was probably the most run-down motel/housekeeping operation
in all of NL. Made the Greenwood Motel in Mt. Pearl look like the Hilton.
Since being sold/renamed Bluewater, I haven't seen any difference. In fact I
never see any cars there. Either they're closed down, or word of mouth has
gotten around.

As for Splash & Putt, every child, rich or poor, angel or brat, deserves to
go to Disneyworld at least once in their lifetime (adults too for that
matter). Sadly, Splash & Putt is as far as some people will ever get. So, if
Splash & Putt is all that's within your budget, go out and enjoy it. Sure
its overpriced, but let your kids be kids. They deserve it.

Last summer when we tried to book a cabin bluewater was the only thing that
had bookings available and i asked another place what bluewater was like.
they said theres a reason they are not booked up.As for splash n putt its
great if you have lots of cash, you get the couple rides but then the kids
want to keep going and you have to go back and pay for more tickets.
