recall on Mastercraft Mitre Saws

I have one of these saws and it was only by chance that i found out about
this recall. I called the 1-800 number and they gave me an RA number. Went
to Canadian Tire and got a brand new Saw no questions asked.
I have the Master Craft Maximum Sliding Mitre.
Called Canadian Tire Customer Service and they referred me to WMH group.
1-800-689-9928.
They informed me that the sliding saws that model number begins with WO6
have a safety issue. they do not shut off properly.
She took some info, asked me if I would rather have an exchange, refund or
repair. I told her repair. Went to Canadian Tire tonight with my RA number
and they replaced my 8 month old, well used saw with a brand new one. :-)
Just thought I would throw that out there for y'all. How often are there
recalls on products and the consumer never hears about it.
