Does anyone know the names of the two(?) bike gangs that used to be in
St.John's?

I think Phantom Riders was one of them, I can remember my old man telling me
stories about them and the bar room brawls that used to occur at the "Circle
Lounge" in the early 70's(How many times did I hear that story growing up,
Jesus, I never thought that nugget would ever rear its head)

My Mom knows all about this stuff. She says that the Phantom Riders were in
St. John's and had a clubhouse out here on St. Thomas line. The Sultans
used to come in to party from central newfoundland as well. Then there was
the 13th Tribe from Halifax that always came here. The 13th Tribe
joined the Hells Angels in the 80's and became the Halifax Chapter of the
Hells Angels. The Phantom Riders don't exist no more, and I'm not sure
about the Sultans but the Angels are still in Halifax, though some of them
are in jail.

The Clansmen being the other local club. The Sultans were from Grand Falls
and the Disciples from Gander.
All are gone but I'm not entirely sure about Disciples. The Sultans at one
point attempted to move into St john's.

Charlie Falk, the photographers, was heavily into such at one period in his
life. It's funny if you watch him riding his penny farthing while thinking
about him being a biker....

Hi, Alyssa!

Haven't seen you on here in some time. Hope all is well.

By the way, I was wrong about something I posted for you a while ago: the
age for consensual sex in the US is seventeen, not (as I had written) eighteen.

I'm ashamed to admit it, but I haven't been able to read your Halloween
story because I am not (evidently) yet computer literate. I downloaded it and
can find it in my download files, but somehow cannot open it. Perhaps you can
send it to me in a simpler format.

Creed is still alive and kicking with a club house in Botwood, Peter's Arm
to be exact.

Debbie,

The yellow paper clip sign is on the right hand side of the page in the
corner. Double click on that. I made a boo-boo and sent it to reply group
instead of just to you. Maby other people will like it too.

Hi, Alyssa!

No, but there may be viruses in mine -- not to mention my brain.

I am awaiting the "paper clip." It hasn't arrived yet.

Yeah, it depends on what e-mail program you are using. Eudora? Outlook
Express? Nutscape? Other?
