I sent a registered letter through Canada Post but I lost my receipt/
tracking number. I now need proof that I sent the letter. I went to
the post office and the person gave me a 1-800 number to call. The
number has been busy for the past 2 hours. Anybody have any ideas
about what I can do?

Click on customer services and then FAQ. Doesn't look good.

If you go into the Canada Post website there is a place where you can check
the tracking number online. Go into www.canadapost.ca. On the left side of
the screen, down a little ways, under "I Want To", go to Track A Package and
put in your tracking number. Hope this helps you.

I understand that the poster does not have the tracking number, thus the
problem.
