to Fortune / taxi/bus

How would one go about getting to Fortune down on the burin peninsula from
saint john;s without a car? Is there a bus or taxi service? If I took the
bus from Saint John's and got off at goobies, could i get a taxi down the
peninsula? I hitchhiked it last fall but would like to go back this summer
by bus or shuttle

Well Saint John's does not exist in Newfoundland & Labrador! There is a Saint
John New Brunswick however but I don't think this is the place your looking
for. We spell our city St. John's, in regards to your question sorry I can't
help you but good luck.

Slaneys Bus Service will get you right to Fortune from St. John's. They are
in the book.

Try Footes taxi.

Slaney's won't go to Fortune. They go as far as Lamaline, but would get you
as far as Marystown for ~ $30.

My apologies - I visited the incredible city of St. John's this september,
for the first time and I loved it! I wasn't sure which spelling it was, but
I was really impressed with the scenery and the awesome people!

The number is in the phone book and they run daily from Fortune to St.
John's

The two bus services that come to mind when thinking of the Burin
Peninsula would be Cheesman's and Lee Spencer's Taxi... they'll both be in
the phone book, so you can try them. It cost me $25 to get from St.
John's to Marystown on Cheeseman's about a year and a half ago. Hope this
helps.
