Why don't you just get someone to come after supper?
I did mine myself. The only thing is if you do it yourself I don't
think you qualify for phone assistance if you have installation issues
you can't figure out. That being said, it's not difficult but it's
nice to have someone help you who has done it before.
My tips on installation of the dish is to make sure the post is
perfectly plumb left-to-right and front-to-back. Lock in your skew at
116. Your elevation should be somewhere between 25 and 30 (I think
mine is about 28). You should be able to slowly rotate your dish to
pick up the signal, minor tweaks may be needed with the elevation to
get the best signal possible. It helps if you can see another dish to
get an idea of which direction they are pointed. You should do all
this before you connect to the multiswitch, connect sat 91 directly to
the receiver first. When you get your signal locked in strong THEN
connect the multiswitch and do a switch check, this will pick up the
signal for sat 82.
If you have any questions just email me and I'd be happy to try and
answer them for you.

Rob- Under what circumstances do you need to have dish pointed at 91 &
82?
I'm planning on getting a dual PVR from expressvu, do I need to have
dish pointed & receiving 91 & 82 to get HD channels?
TIA
82 is the HD fee, and 91 is standard def...or vice versa
I don't understand why someone would want to install and set-up a
BEV satellite system when Bell doesn't charge for installation.
Can someone explain that?

He said he doesn't like strangers in his home, and that he can't be
there until after 6:30PM. :o)

When you install it yourself you are sure it is done right and the
signal is as strong as possible. I've seen some bell dishes installed
in some very poor places and I know people who have had trouble with
theirs after a bell installer did the job. Not to say all bell
installers are bad, just if you do it yourself you know it is done
properly. The key to maintaining signal in storms/wind is having the
strongest signal possible when setting it up - you can't help when
snow builds up on the dish but you shouldn't lose it in wind.
BEV does charge for installation unless you lock in to a two year
contract. In fact they damn well overcharge if you ask me. 15 minutes
will cost you $12.50. 16 minutes will cost you $25.00. Ya better tell
the installer to have a piss on his own time...

According to BEV they will install 24/7...
You're better off doing it yourself. When your completed just call and
register your new receiver. They won't give you any hassle.
