What are you using to run Linux?

I'm still stuck with XP on my main machines, but all the older ones
get various forms of Linux.

I first tried to put Debian on a P133 several years ago, but that
didn't go well. Later, I got my hands on a PII233 and things went much
better. I bumped up the RAM to 256MB, added a 13GB HDD and installed
LibraNet 2.8.1 around 2003. That distro stopped being supported, so I
switched to Ubuntu 5.10. When Xubuntu failed to install on it a month
or so ago, I did a net install of Debian Etch. It is my web, mail, and
IRC bot server, as well as being my mess-about-with-Linux box.

I have an old P133 ThinkPad with 32MB RAM that I wanted to put
Fluxbuntu on, but there was not quite enough RAM. I did manage to get
Debian Etch on it without a GUI, however, and even had it serving web
pages with Lighttp. I used Mutt and Irssi on it too. Not sure what I
will do with it in the long run.

Both machines demonstrate that you don't need very new and powerful
machines to be productive with Linux. I would, however, like to get it
on something more powerful, and maybe leave the world of Windows
behind using Linux Mint.
