Goshawk/Evening Grosbeak

Yesterday early a.m had a Evening Grosbeak singing a one note song about three kilometer's South of Chance Cove Park on top of a tree.;Later day getting Cranberries I spotted a brownish looking bird over Southern Cove which is 400 yards South of Bear Cove Point Light-house,it was hunting over the ocean,landed far away on the side of a cliff/forest took multi pictures and was awarded with five pictures of the bird after major cropping of the picture.On Friday in Renews a Sharpie had a small bird singled out about 100 ,150 feet high in the sky and did not look good for the bird until four crows came in and saved the day,all over Goodridge property.Have not seen the Renews Merlin in about 12 day's if not more.Absolutely spitting sunshine right now in Renews,no wind and tide is low.Gerard
