Ken Knowles, Chris Brown and I birded Poweles Head in superb calm clear warm conditions. It was sooooo quiet.

Black-throated Green warbler - 1
Hermit Thrush - 15
Still good numbers of Razorbills in Trepassey harbour
Dickcissel - 1 in Trepassey, in the rose bushes at Gord Hartery's house. No seed in feeder.
CAPE ROAD -
lots of Savannah Sparrows
Whimbrel - 30 near Long Beach
lots of new kelp on Long Beach but not roted enough for the insects. NO shorebirds.

Cape May Warbler - 1 on ocean side of the road, north of the creek.
