Chris Ryan and I spent ~4 hours birding Bar Cove Point road this morning - including a thorough check of all the mixed flocks we encountered. It was quite active at times with 13 species of warbler, 2 species of vireo and numerous other birds (both migrant and resident). Highlights included two Canada Warblers, Prairie Warbler, Nashville Warbler, Tenessee Warbler, Bay-breasted Warbler and a Warbling Vireo. White-winged Crossbills were calling and singing continuously along the road.
On the way home, we spotted a drake Wood Duck on Beaver Pond (Route 210, north of La Manche), along with several Black Ducks and a Green-winged Teal.
