Catherine Barrett & I had a female Blue Grosbeak on the Powles Head Road in Trepassey. It was 3.2 km from the end of the pavement across from a small pit and travelling with a Pine Grosbeak and several sparrows.

Other highlights of our Southern Shore trip were:

Philadephia Vireo - Bear Cove pit
Prairie Warbler - Ferryland pit (found earlier by Bruce Mactavish)
American Bittern - tiny corner marsh in Renews where Boat Cove Road meets the main road.
