Herring are spawning in Rocky Harbour so it's a gull and cormorant feast, Several hundred Great Black-backed, Herring (!), Ring-billed, and Iceland Gulls are so full that they're walking past herring just to pick the choice bits out of other ones. Lots of loafing and no squabbles, every gull is fat and happy. Also at least two Lesser Black Backed Gulls in the mix, as well as a few dozen Double-crested Cormorants.
While watching this a Chimney Swift did a flyby along the shore heading south and kept going into the southerly headwind. Wasn't able to relocate it.
