Ring-billed Gulls Quidi Vidi Lake

The Ring-billed Gulls have started to return to Quidi Vidi Lake from their wintering grounds somewhere down south. The first one appeared right on time (as predicted by Bruce M.) - March 20, 2023. The numbers are slowly increasing, with 16 seen today April 1, 2023.
One of the adults has a metal band on its left leg. It was on the beach and I was able to photograph the Reporting Band # 1255-00465. This bird was banded on 06/10/2020 in Conception Bay South. It was reported as having hatched in 2017 or earlier. It was suppose to have a coloured band on its right leg, but the band was missing.
