Yesterday (4th May) I was surprised and delighted to see a Pacific Golden Plover next to the lighthouse at Cape Race. It was about 2 km away from where Jared found one 20 days ago. Quite hard to spot in the dead grass. Photos show a couple of black feathers on the lower breast in same position as those seen on the bird Jared found, so it is likely the same bird. Richard Thomas went out later that day in the early evening but didn't re-locate it.
Not much else to report other than 5 Willow Ptarmigan and a Savannah Sparrow.
