We drove in about 7 km on the White Hills Resource Road which is west of Clarenville - well past the Ski Hill Road and before the turn off to Bonivista. You can easily find it on Google Maps.
The migratory woodland birds are returning in large numbers.
The Blue-headed Vireos (6) and Ruby-crowned Kinglets (19) were singing loudly. Other returning species were also making themselves known - Hermit Thrush (3), Black-and-white Warbler (9), Palm Warbler (1), Yellow-rumped Warbler (11), Black-throated Green Warbler (4), and White-throated Sparrow (10)
