Ed Hayden has been reporting the Blue-winged Teal (female) over the past week or so. Today it was on the north side of Virginia Lake and eventually came over and rested on the delta. It flashed its blue wings as it preened itself.
There was an additional surprise this morning with the arrival of a juvenile Stilt Sandpiper that was confirmed by Bruce Mactavish. It was with the Lesser Yellowlegs.
