Osprey's from Fermeuse were out with two juvies following pops to all the places they can fish, they scanned from The Mount along North-side harbour, they quickly disappeared towards Tern Island.A Northern Harrier in back country behind houses off Bear Cove pt road. There is a trike trail 5 yards South of Funeral Home,it goes out a long stretch about a kilometer straight then it has the option to go right towards inner Butterpots, the LEFT trike trail takes you alongside and outside of the main Salmon river of course on the North-side of the river and takes you all the way to the houses on the South-side of Renews just opposite the second entrance into North-side Renews,if you park a car at Funeral end and then other car anywhere along road-side there you have an amazing birding walk and this is a message for birders like Charlie and Frank,Alison and Ethel, and whoever would like to do that distance, approximately 4.4 kilometer's,amazing habitat.I was informed by a birder that L.C from Fermeuse confirmed two juveniles ospreys at windmill number 9.The Right lane towards the Butterpots is a sparrow extravaganza from trike trail start it's 6.1 K in,the trail on the right back into Renews, these trails are trike trails,so any scoping or set ups should be along road edges, triker's wonderful to talk to and careful.Gerard

After the first kilometer and you take Left at Y intersection the trail becomes much more private and secluded but always be aware of Trikes, you'll hear them move into the side woods and give them space.Gerard

Ok just to put in the right facts regarding the Trike trail,I just did it on a Mountain bike and it runs down towards Renews, then you cross over The Trestle, the salmon river and you will come out on Station Lane just South of the main Salmon bridge.Toda y there were Common Yellow Throats many and finally spotted a male, many Yellow-rumped ,Black-polls seen and doing the we we w e,Male Wilson wabler, and later the sparrows as I have to book them to identify, all birds pictured also, very seldom will you see a trike on the trail when you veer right onto what I gather was the railway line,Station roads I think they are called now.Gerard
