One thing that may or may not work. Copy all the installer files and folders from the DVD's/from the ISO's to a single folder somewhere else. Do not choose to replace existing files. Then try running the install/setup executable from this copied to folder. As I said, this may or may not work.
Mine was a digital download for master collection CS5. I'm in need of the additional library content for encore and have no idea how to find it. I went to download and Adobe doesn't have an option for me to re-download my purchase.
I have CS5 Master Collection DVD Pack. I had it installed on and old PC. I removed it and deactivated it from that PC to installed on a new PC. Now when I input my Serial Number to activate my product it says that the serial number is not valid. I chatted with adobe for almost 1 hour and the best thing he could tell was to post my issue in this forum. Wow, it is amazing that this is the way Adobe addresses customers issues. Post it on a forum and see what happens.
I tried, I copied all the files from the DVD's into a file created on the desktop. The setup.exe file is displayed in XML format both on the DVD and in the file that it was copied and it will not launch the installation. I tried to launch it with both acrobat 9 pro and creative cloud and nothing happens
Because all "contact us" options are dead buttons. And all forum links or anything you can find about it is just a dead link.
This has been going on every time sinds they released the CC editions. Forcing ppl to buy the overpriced "constantly online" edition. Ever so often i upgrade my PC or reinstall it and i need the download it (because i aint installing a CD rom again just for adobe CS4)

Wth, really? The PROFANITY REMOVED. So it is buy a CDrom to install from the DVD's or buy the new version? Guess i know what i will do now... And it's non of those 2 if they can't provide a download link.
3. Move the Trusted Storage File (TSF) out of the FLEXnet folder.
Move the adobe_0080000.tsf.data file onto the desktop or to another safe location from the Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/FLEXnet folder (Windows XP), ProgramData\FLEXnet folder (Windows Vista), or the Library/Preferences/FLEXnet Publisher/FLEXnet folder (Mac OS).

Important: If you are upgrading from Production Premium CS4 or Master Collection CS4 you can continue to use your existing installations of After Effects CS4 and Adobe Premiere Pro CS4, including OnLocation and Encore. You do not need to install the 32-bit support package.
If you are upgrading from a standalone version of Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 or After Effects CS4, you must uninstall it before you can install the 32-bit support package. This is because standalone versions of Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 and After Effects CS4 do not include Dynamic Link. In order to support the display of all characters of the Chinese standard GB18030 on Windows XP systems, Adobe recommends the installation of the Microsoft GB18030 Support Package. This support package will update an XP system with, among other things, fonts and input-method-editors (IMEs) to correctly support GB18030. This guy went on with many reasons to give me for the root of the error. Each one was way off and completely ridiculous to be honest. At one point he asked me if my machine was a networked machine, I answered yes and he said that Adobe does not support network installs. ??? I questioned him because I was not installing this from the network or a network drive, I only say yes to that question because my machine is on a network. He said he understood but they do not support machines that are networked. At this point my jaw dropped and I asked him to confirm. I said you do realize that almost everyone has a networked computer of some kind. I think the support rat could tell that his BS answers were not going to fool me and get me off the phone. So he decided to do the next best thing. Give me a answer that would take time to prove wrong. His resolution was that that because I burned the installed to a DVD that I must have corrupted the files. He would keep the case open and to call back in if the problem continues. I need to use the original download or media from Adobe to re-burn the files to DVD.
