VirtualBox is a powerful x86 and AMD64/Intel64 virtualization product for enterprise as well as home use. Not only is VirtualBox an extremely feature rich, high performance product for enterprise customers, it is also the only professional solution that is freely available as Open Source Software under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 3. See "About VirtualBox" for an introduction.
In computing, the term virtual refers to a digitally replicated version of something real, whether it's a machine, a switch, memory or even reality. It is distinguished from the real by the fact that it lacks an absolute, physical form. However, functionally it is no less real.
Virtual computing helps expand the enterprise IT environment to users who are not in the same location as the resources they need to access. Allocating a computer's processes and resources to a virtual environment makes the system available for other processes and applications, which increases the overall efficiency of the system. It also frees up space on individual devices because users don't have to install, configure or store the assets they need as they can be accessed remotely and on-demand.
Virtual computing also improves the speed, accessibility and performance of IT operations and users. And resource-sharing through virtual computing eliminates the need to operate multiple computers and servers, which reduces cooling and power costs.
For instance, a virtual trade show refers to an event that takes place in a computer-based virtual venue rather than in a physical venue. The event lacks a physical form, but it is no less real than any regular event held in the "real" world.
Similarly, virtual learning enables students to remotely access learning resources in a virtual environment. They can view videos, communicate with other students and even participate in live lectures from their local device. Thus, they learn in a "virtual classroom," which doesn't have a physical form, but still exists for all practical purposes.
Learn the types of virtualization IT admins should know, the history of virtualization and its mark on data center management and the key differences between full virtualization and paravirtualization. Also, explore common virtualization problems and how to solve them, virtual server management best practices and the benefits of containers on bare metal versus on VMs.

*We are committed to providing you the highest quality medical care. The virtual doctors or clinicians follow national healthcare guidelines for prescribing antibiotics. Our doctors and clinicians only prescribe medications when clinically appropriate.
You will have access to a private virtual exam room as soon as your request for care is submitted. When the visit moves to "active," you will be given a prompt to enter the exam room and will have five minutes to do so. If you do not enter the exam room within that time frame, the doctor or clinician will attempt to contact you via the backup phone number you provided.
A virtual visit usually lasts about 20 minutes during which time the doctor or clinician will ask you questions similar to those you would hear in a clinic. The doctor or clinician may also talk you through some self-examination processes. When the visit concludes, you will receive a diagnosis and plan of care.
At the beginning of your virtual visit, the doctor or clinician determines whether your health concern is appropriate for virtual care. A visit that does not result in a diagnosis or prescription is not considered cause for a refund. If the doctor or clinician determines within the first three minutes of the visit that your condition would be better treated at a nearby medical facility, you will not be charged your $49 fee.
Typically, the virtual visit fee is a qualified expense for a Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Health Savings Account (HSA) or Health Reimbursement Account (HRA). If you choose to pay by this method, please note that the card must have a Visa or Mastercard logo. Please check with your insurance plan for reimbursement of the visit fee.
Download the mobile app for Apple or Android. You can access virtual visits on any Apple mobile/tablet device or a PC/MAC. For mobile and tablet devices, download the mobile app.
