Need some welding expertise

Hi all,

I " stress tested" a heater block and found it's limits. Ie I busted it.

Does anyone know how I could weld one little brass piece onto another without destroying the filament aperture or distorting the whole thing horribly out of shape?

Anyone have the gear for doing this?

All help much appreciated. There's a pint or three/ chocolate cake in it for you..
