Hi everyone,
Today and tomorrow we need to prepare for our open studios weekend! To
remind you, the studios will be open from 2-6pm on Saturday 3 and Sunday
4 December. Please tell everyone you know, share on social media, take
pictures of your space and the rest of the studios and get tweeting,
facebooking and instagramming or whatever you like to use!
Schedule of events is already up on all social media networks, has been
sent to our mailing lists, the media and on our website
here: http://www.sample-studios.com/upcoming.html

So now we need to get organising. If you have not told me already, it is
essential you let me know if you will *not* be here on Saturday and Sunday.

TACTIC has extended its exhibition run to be open that weekend, so we
will now have the third floor open too.
Members are responsible for their own sales from their studios - please
have your space prepared for the public, with a price displayed for
whatever you want to sell.
Large items such as furniture, easels, or pieces of equipment can be
brought down to the tea room - stick a price tag on each item with your
name and number on the back.
If you have old books, magazines etc. we will have a table for them. If
things are in bad condition we will have them on offer to be taken away
by donation.
We will be hanging prints and artworks around the tea room  if you want
to bring works down please do - they will be hung in 'salon' style in
clusters around the walls. There will be a central cash point in the tea
room for sales of all items.
There will be racks for old clothes - a vintage style market - and other
bits and bobs. So anything that you are hoping to get rid of that is in
reasonable good condition please donate it to the studios for sale and
all donations/sales go toward set up for our new studios.
If you will not have your studio open but are going to be around to help
out I have a list of jobs that need doing on Sat and Sun and would
appreciate you getting back to me.
From today, it would be great to get decorating the tea room and other
areas with decorations - could I get some elves to volunteer? We have a
christmas tree and decorations in storage on the 2nd floor past printex
and it would be nice to get some festive cheer going around the place!
