Just got stuck in the bootloop last night and this morning, BRICK!
In my searching, I found the 5x has been added to the LG G4 Bootloop Class Action lawsuit: http://www.girardgibbs.com/lg-g4-bootloop-class-action-lawsuit/
Might be the way to be made whole if you weren't able to get a repair done. I haven't joined yet- going to contact google first then LG and see what happens. Maybe I'll mention the class action.

Any updates? Did you get any resolution from Google or LG? I'm dealing with the same issue now. Thanks for the tip about the lawsuit.
