returning Nexus 5x to LG for repair

My nexus 5x caught the bootloop 'disease' this morning. I tried a data cache wipe and factory reset and as expected it didn't help.

I called google support and they patched me through to LG support. LG is having me send it in for warranty repair.  I bought it just over a year ago from Best Buy.

I read this morning that there is a class action lawsuit on this issue that was just updated with the Nexus 5x.
