Someone claiming to be a Google employee just sent a mass email to a list of Gmail addresses she could have only obtained as an employee. The text, along with an implied threat regarding negative customer feedback included therein, is below:

From: avantis...@gmail.com

Hi

Thanks for contacting Google Support.

This is Audrey, the Google Support Team Manager (Escalations). I've reviewed the conversation and the reason I'm writing to you today is, I've gone ahead and escalated your concern to our product specialist and as per their suggestion, you'd need to get in touch with the manufacturer or the store from where you've purchased the device.

I can understand how inconvenient this could be for you but I've already submitted your experience as a feedback to our developers and alternatively, we also encourage you to submit feedback regarding your experience to our developers.

This is also to inform that you should only provide us a positive rating of 6 or 7 when you get the survey link. Please do not leave us negative feedback as this harms our reputation and may have serious consequences on your account. If you continue to contact us with the intent of leaving negative feedback, we'd be forced to close all support channels for your account.

Please serve this as your final notice. I hope you understand since we tried our best by escalating this up to our product specialist.

I'll be awaiting a confirmation from your end. You can contact us by visiting support.google.com and leave us a positive feedback. You can contact us from the Pixel device as well.

Thanks!

Audrey

This is a fake email. The sender is not a Google Employee.

Don't reply to the email, it may be a phishing scam.
