Phone BootLoop on March 17th, Warranty Finished on March 13th

Hi there, I had the same problem with my Nexus 5X bought in Hong Kong, I called today to LG and the customer service person kept telling me I would have to pay to repair it as out of warranty, the price to repair it it's just as much as what I paid for the phone, after insisting a lot that it was ridiculous that I had to pay for the repair for a problem that LG has accepted is from factory, she went to talk to the manager and told me to send an email with the sales invoice and they will look into my case and check if it's possible to do an out of warranty repair or replacement, even more ridiculous, they told me it will take up to a month to get a reply, after I yelled a little bit more they said they will reply to me next Monday, will keep you posted on what happens. Terrible customer service btw... Also just learnt today that LG is getting sued because of this issue.

Hi there

Yes, sorry, forgot to update, they actually came back to me before Monday saying that they will make an exception and do the repair/replacement for free, making the note that if they took a look and the phone and found out that it broke for other reason or if i tried to open the phone myself, i would have to pay for the repair. I didn't actually take to repair, because I bought in Hong Kong and living in Singapore now, so i would have to ship it there and find a way for someone to pick it up after and ship it back and I had already bought another phone by then as I thought they wouldn't get back to me any time soon, so I haven't got around to ship it back to Hong Kong, but yeah, you can try and get really mad and they should fix it for free
