nougat 7.1.1 was running fine..period
then came the 7.1.2 update with the most awaited GA.
i used GA for one night..just to see what it can do.. i was really like OMG.
then come the next morning, the unexpectable..that never happened ever. the bootloop.
over the days it gave me little time to get into the menu and i could save my data.
then over the days the little time it used to give to get to home decreased.
it almost went from google logo to dead.now the recovery mode almost dissapeared.
it seems all is going on on plan. why ?
Bcause we all can fckn see it.
no phone gets from alive to dead so systematically.. unless this all planned the techies at google.
if it is not the issue..why doesnt google tells us what to do for mobiles who just passed the warranty by a couple of weeks..
30 k for one year of usage and no help from google..when its their problem..
what the heck..

nougat 7.1.1 was running fine.
Re registered to beta mode hoping to have better bluetooth result in my truck.
Installed 7.1.2 on march 22.
i used it for one night..didnt notice much differnece but went to bed.
then come the next day, all is good but plugged my phone for charging and never came back.
I was able to get to the fast boot menu and try recovery mode but only the google sign apeared.
Contacted google, did some test over the phone, than sid t was HW related so they transfered me to LG for a factory reset.
LG guy couldn't get far enough so told me to send for repair...
Phone is 14 month old

Sadly, my story is exact as Hector's, going from 7.1.1 to 7.1.2 over one night.  Unfortunately, I had a chip on my camera lens that knocked out the glass, and LG is stipulating that voids the warranty, even though I had that chip for 6 months and the phone worked fine.  I think as a known defect, this is a serious issue and one that frankly concerns me purchasing LG and Google branded hardware when a software update pushed by Google fried the hardware. - Chris

I was using textra, typing a text, froze then looped. Installed the OTA awhile ago, with no issues. Haven't installed any os upgrades in awhile.

LG agreed to repair it. I got it into fast boot mode and somehow turned it off. Turned it back on and  booted and worked for a minute then resumed. its running 7.1.1.
Nice that Fi doesn't offer any help with not having a phone for 2 weeks.

Today:

Did not know I had gotten the GA update, until I tried to use "OK Google" for directions;
Went through GA setup
Worked well; impressed;
Moved on to normal web browsing...was actually googling about QTrip drink refill prices;
screen went black;
Same issues as everyone else...Can get to bootloader menu, but not to recovery, or anything else, screen goes black or back to google splash.

This phone has been absolutely flawless until today.  GA update and setup are suspect.
