CGEBM provides genomics support across the breadth of life sciences research in Aberdeen. We primarily work with NGS data in research spanning many disciplines from ecology to translational medicine to bioengineering. The postholder will work in the CGEBM to provide expert bioinformatics provision to genomics research at the University of Aberdeen and to support our teaching and training activities in bioinformatics. We are involved in research projects spanning broad fields including ecology, nutrition, disease biology, developmental biology, immunology, novel therapeutics, agriculture, aquaculture and sustainable biofuels, primarily with our colleagues in in biological and biomedical sciences, chemistry and engineering in Aberdeen, as well as external academics and SME.
