            An amazing opportunity exists   here in the Pioneer Valley of Western Mass. We need to find one or several people to invest and become new cooperative owners here at our magestic former Peabody Estate, Lupinwood, within the next month. Now is the time to be the Change we want to see, and to put our money and efforts into where our visions for the future would want to take us. The financial crisis and housing market slump that has had such a dramatic impact on the global and the U.S.A. economy in the last 2 years, has also (along with other challenges) brought about a crisis at   Lupinwood, but of course great crisis presents great   opportunity. So, now our place, with its combined 23 acres of southwest facing slope [12 acres with 4 buildings and a heavy mortgage plus11 acres without any mortgage on them, but with a lot of   frontage] may cost as little as about $650,000.00 as a Short Sale price that would have to be negotiated and bargained on with the Banks. This is a huge incredible deal for those who would like to own pirme property in a beautiful town that is evoloving before our eyes into a very Green Society, and has a lot fo resources developing in the direction of sustainable or restorative living models.
 

  Additionally, we have the Right now, via a Cluster Zoming law that was instituted in our town of Greenfield last year, to develop as many as 50 units of housing  for the near zero-energy, arts-integrated, solar and alternative energy eco-village we envision on this beautiful land, overlloking the Connecticut River Valley from its ridgetop view.

  We also need then, once the property is secured again for this higher purpose, instead of being foreclosed and taken by the bank to be sold off at Auction on April 20, 2010, a core team of pioneering cultural creatives to help design, develop and ulitmately to inhabit and enliven this place. Is it you? Yes: you or a friend of yours, or several of you...who have team work experience, self-awareness, passion and energy, and many other valuable skills, resources and/or qualities to offer to this project?

 
  We, John Bailey (the current owner of Lupinwood) and Maya Apfelbaum ( partner in the Lupinwood Eco-Village project) would like your help to save Lupinwood and then transform it, step by stap into a beautiful and profound, heart centered, innovative place that can help each of us and our town and region really keep growing into a whole new paradigm.
 
  We will happily share more information with you, if you are genuinely and seriously interested. We need first-of-all to secure this place...but we also need to and will keep the bigger vision of forming a core group of village co-owners, planners, and developers in mind as we seek folks to buy this place via the Short Sale mechanism, and work to prevent the foreclosure and auction.   P.S. Lupinwood is strategically   located at the intersection of Rt.91 N/S and RT. 2 E/W, so we are 25 minutes from Northampton, MA. and also from Brattleboro, VT. We are 2.25 hours from Boston and 3.75 hours from NYC. We are a walk   to downtown and are surrounded by 275 acres of protected forest and trails.
