Subject: Permablitz meets Community Supported Agriculture this sunday!

A quick heads up... This sunday there's a fantastic opportunity to permablitz AND learn about the Vibrant Living CSA, a new Community Supported Agriculture initiative being set up just on the edge of Melbourne. This will definitely a permablitz to drop all your previous sunday plans for (...or if you can't make it, details about the second CSA Blitz are at the bottom of the email)

And while we're at it, see below for details about revisiting Blitz #82 at Carolyn, Greg & Angelina's place in Reservoir a year on.

Get in touch if you're interested in having a permablitz at yours and in the meantime enjoy this amazing smell of spring!

See you at a blitz soon!

Community Supported Agriculture Blitz #1

Sunday, 19 September 2010, 08:00am - 05:00pm

Keen to get some P-blitz action this spring? We are running 2 blitzes to help kick start our permaculture/organic/biodynamic community farm and CSA initiative. We have taken on a lease of ‘Judy’s farm” in Yarra Glen and have begun the implementation of holistic market garden to provide fresh picked veg to bio-regional and inner Melbourne dwellers. We would love your help on this one and its also a great to chance to experience permaculture on a larger scale.

September Spring planting will be kicking into full gear and we will need all hands on deck to help prepare soil and transplant our huge selection of tomatoes, potatoes, capsicum, zucchini’s and lots more! We will also workshop the principles behind biodynamic composting, and finish putting up our ‘rabbit proof fence. Time permitting we will also be demonstrating ‘soil blocking’ propagation, flame weeding, broadfolking, chicken tractors……along with a whole lot of other market gardening secrets!

Hope to see you there,

With love

Revisiting Permablitz #82 Reservoir

Sunday, 03 October 2010, 01:30pm - 04:30pm

On 21st November 2009 a bunch of keen Permablitzers and Transition Darebin-ites transformed a backyard in Reservoir into a munchable permaculture garden. It's been a year and it's time to go back do some evaluation on what's worked and what hasn't. If you were at the Blitz, or if you're local and curious, come share a cuppa and talk about the next steps for this beautiful garden....

Carolyn says...

Community Supported Agriculture Blitz #2

Sunday, 10 October 2010, 08:00am - 05:00pm

For those who can't make the first (or those super keen for more action), this is a follow up blitz to help implement our CSA permaculture design. The "Vibrant Living CSA" aims to provide fresh seasonal veg through active community participation and ownership.

We are running the Blitzes to help kick start our permaculture/organic/biodynamic community farm and CSA initiative. We have taken on a lease of ‘Judy’s farm” in Yarra Glen and have began the implementation of wholistic market garden .  Our aim is to provide fresh seasonal produce to bio-regional and inner Melbourne community members.  We would love your help on this one and its also a great to chance to experience permaculture on a larger scale…

Activities: Lots more planting, demonstrations of various weeding tools and techniques, potato planting and workshop on planting in tune with the kosmic cycles biodynamic style. We will also be giving a run down on the permaculture design and principles behind our farming operations.

We'd love you to come play!!

With love,

The Vibrant Living CSA
