admin change in NextGEN

Dear Ecovillage Kin. After holding the operational circle and administration needs of NextGEN for many years it is finally time for me pass on the role. It has been a rewarding journey that has taught me well. Please welcome Ami into this role and offer her the needed support. 

On a personal note:

In the beginning of this year it became clear that someone else should hold this position as it comes with so much potential that I am choosing not to live. Life is focusing my energy  into areas of strategy and governance (or purpose and community) as this is where I presently need to serve. 

I will continue to support NextGEN by sharing with GEN  the exiting developments that are being taken forward in integral strategy, legal structures beyond democracy, organisational methods to make our situation of globalisation a healthy one. Ami and I will also work closely together in a supportive handover period.

By passing on this role it means it could become a full time job for one or several people who want to turn it into that. 

NextGEN’s admin and operations are currently ran on less than five hours a week. As more resources and time become available expect exiting changes to emerge in NextGEN (I am). 

Ami and I have started to talk through where we should start and the energy will be directed into:

• Being with what is

• Upgrading NextGEN’s communication system (it has been neglected for a long time) to allow more collaborative approaches in NextGEN. The NextGEN handbook and website will then be updated as a collaborative effort as was always intended. 

• Looking at funding opportunities. (First two tasks: see where other charities source their core funding and research into Youth in Action and Grundtvig grants to create learning partnerships that act as visioning and work retreats for NextGEN that include experiential education)

I see NextGEN developing into so much more than it already is, yours in service,

[Youth in Community]

Dear Elliot,
maybe you can remember me. I'm Tulie from Likatien and we would like to invite you and the youth of Next GEN to our YOUTH IN COMMUNITY SUMMERCAMP in 2010. We want to create a place where everyone can present their visions, their communities and their goals. We want to form a network of young adults who can change the world a bit.

ZEGG, Tamera and the youth of Damanhur already assured us their visit. And we're looking forward to a big and inspiring summercamp.
