Nature based tools for modern youth mentors
A one day workshop for youth workers
Friday 30th January 2009
Venue: The Upper Community Centre, The Park, The Findhorn Foundation, IV36 3TZ
Time : 9am to 5.30pm (Lunch 12.30 to 2pm – vegetarian buffet)
Cost : £30 including lunch
Our aim is to present three major tools of our work that could be of interest for your work too:
• One is a nature psychological model of human growth and health, called the "Four Shields".
• The second is called "threshold and mirror", a nature based tool for a deeper self-understanding, which can help young people in times, when everyone else seems to know better what they need. Young people who can express again, what they need, gain back their opportunity to constructively participate in their own process again.
• The last tool is all about creating an inviting setting and atmosphere for young people, in order to overcome the resistance against self exploration and introspection.
Please see the attached PDF for more Information
Please bring both indoor and outdoor clothing as part of the workshop is outdoors.
Lunch will be provided in the Community Centre
To book a space on this workshop please contact Bookings via Findhorn College office on 01309 678063
Thank you.
