to New York Moon
Greetings from Cairo,

Zack has been relentlessly toiling away on the New York Moon's new
Tumblr skeleton (nymoon.tumblr.com) and he is nearing completion.
After a multi-year hiatus, the Moon appears to be on the rise.

Vadim Nikitin is playing the role as a contributing guest editor of
this edition, seeing as he is our most qualified expert in
"nostalgia". Vadim is "writing a book" about nostalgia and has managed
to mention the word in each and every single of his last articles (and
e-mails). He spends most of his days laying in a kiddie pool in
Durban, South Africa, thinking about it.

I'm leading up one of our nostalgic projects that is anchored by the
early 20th century travel books by Baedeker. This will likely be
composed of one bigger project and several smaller ones. The bigger
one will be to actually compare and contrast the experience of my 1914
Baedeker with 2012 Egypt. We're still figuring how to do this and make
it truly Moonish. We have access to some other Baedekers, so we may be
trying to do smaller versions of this with other cities.

If Levi Stahl permits us, we will also use his piece on "wrongosaurs",
sculptures constructed on faulty ideas of what dinosaurs were like.
I'd also love to hear what other nostalgia ideas or readings that come
to mind.

Other than that, we are open to ideas.

Bradley
