Job Title: Associate Producer, New Media
Description: New York City Ballet is seeking a highly-organized, creative and technically-savvy individual to work full time assisting in the production of video and new media projects.

What you'll do:

- Assist in the estimating, scheduling, organizing, and overall production and management of New Media Department projects which include film/video, web, mobile, and other digital or interactive initiatives.
- Manage and keep track of time and resources used on all projects and help identify how projects can crossover and use those resources more efficiently.
- Help keep scheduling and communications up to date with outside vendors as well as relevant internal staff/departments.
- Help schedule and manage tasks for additional/future New Media Department specialists (film/video editor, designer, copywriter, etc.)
- Be aware of and able to apply/do due diligence in regards to media agreements (with dancers, stage hands, musicians, etc.), music licensing, location permits, and insurance requirements. (i.e., Help inform and plan pre-production, capture and distribution schedules, budgeting, and union notifications based on those regulations.)
- Help recommend/research potential outside vendors and specialists for New Media projects.
- Help put together and negotiate contracts with outside vendors.
- Assist/report to Director, New Media.

What you'll need:

- The ability to manage multiple, diverse projects at one time.
- Significant knowledge of film/video, and/or digital media production.
- Strong digital communications/computer skills and proficiency using a Mac.
- Working knowledge of iWork and/or Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Good design sense.
- Willingness and ability to work nights or weekends if a production or project requires.
- 1-3 years film/video or digital production/project management experience.
- Knowledge of or appreciation for arts and culture - in particular dance or music.
- Knowledge of current practices and future trends in digital media production.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment.
